Vote for Government Accountability!Nov 6, 2018 | First Ballot Question on Amendments to the New Hampshire Constitution
NH 1 would amend the NH Constitution to allow taxpayers who are eligible to vote standing to sue the government. This legislation enjoys wide, bipartisan support and passed the Senate by a vote of 22-2.
About NH 1
This constitutional amendment provides that a taxpayer who is eligible to vote in the state has standing to petition the court to declare whether the state or the political subdivision in which the taxpayer resides has spent funds in violation of a law, ordinance, or constitutional provision.
Manchester Union-Leader, Concord Monitor and many other NH newspapers have endorsed the NH 1 approach for years and still do!
CACR 15 is supported by a wide spectrum of organizations and legislators.
